$17.87 Million for Mesothelioma Victim in Asbestos Lawsuit

A woman diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer, which is caused by exposure to asbestos, intended lawsuit to the company who hired her as a secretary at Union Asbestos and Rubber Co., back in the `60. During her employment at the Unison Asbestos, Jayne Menssen claimed that she contracted this rare form of cancer after being exposed to asbestos trough the nature of her job

The defendants, Pneumo Abex LLC and Honeywell International, according to Jayne, those two companies knew about the risks associated with asbestos, and at the same time they haven’t inform their employees and customers about the consequences of asbestos exposure.

 The four week trial ended with a verdict in Monessen’s favor and she received compensatory damages of $ 3.5 millions and another $ 14 millions from those two companies mentioned in the trial.

 This money helped Jayne to pay her medical care and treatments in good medical centers with the latest equipment in cancer radiology and imaging.

 Mesothelioma is caused by exposure to asbestos and it is known as a very aggressive type of cancer. If exposed to asbestos while working there is the possibility to develop at some time in your life the malignant mesothelioma cancer.
